Courses Selection

What type of CPR and first aid courses do you offer?

I provide official American Heart Association®-aligned courses tailored to your specific needs. This includes BLS Provider Initial and Renewal for healthcare professionals, Heartsaver® CPR AED Only and Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Combo courses for individuals, as well as flexible Blended Learning options that combine self-paced online modules with rapid, in-person physical skills checks.

How do I know which class I need?

If you work in a clinical healthcare environment (RN, EMT, MD, Dentist, or healthcare student), you generally require BLS for Healthcare Providers. For daycares, schools, construction, fitness professionals, or everyday safety, choose one of the Heartsaver® courses. Still unsure? Send me a message, and I will gladly guide you!

Who conducts the training sessions?

As a registered nurse and certified American Heart Association® instructor, I teach each course with high-quality, practical, and truly supportive instruction backed by real-world clinical experience.

What makes East Mountain CPR Solutions different?

My business is the premier choice in the East Mountains area for a truly supportive, nurse-led, and trauma-informed environment. I keep class sizes small and focus on hands-on practice to build real-world confidence.

What does a "trauma-informed" CPR session mean?

Some learners seeking certification have experienced medical emergencies, workplace critical incidents, or personal loss. I understand that practicing life-saving skills can absolutely trigger memories of traumatic events. My training sessions are built on acknowledging that reality while providing a supportive space where learning can take place.

Do I pay when I sign up, or can I pay when I get to class?

To secure your seat and guarantee an optimal learning environment, full online payment is required at the time of registration. Walk-ins are not permitted. Registration closes 24 hours before class starts to ensure precise student-to-manikin ratios and high course quality.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

When life happens, you can easily reschedule your class online up to 24 hours before your session directly through your confirmation email at no extra cost. For last-minute changes or emergencies within the 24-hour window, refunds are not issued, but your payment will be fully preserved as a one-time credit toward any future class within the next 60 days. Please note: No-shows without prior notice are non-refundable and will forfeit their course credit.

Day of Class

Do I need a book?

For In-Person Classroom Courses: Yes. The American Heart Association® mandates that all students have access to the current course manual before, during, and after class. You can purchase and download the instant digital eBook version directly from the official store using the links below. Physical reference copies will also be available on the tables for you to use during your classroom session.

For Blended Combo Courses (Online + Skills Check):

No. If you register for a Blended track, the official AHA® online learning module already includes the full digital eBook built straight into your personal student dashboard. You do not need to purchase or bring any additional text materials.

How do I get access to the blended course materials?

If you register for a Blended Combo course, your official AHA® online learning access key will be emailed directly to you within 24 hours of booking. Complete your online modules at your own pace, print your completion certificate, and bring it to your 30-minute physical skills check.

What if I am running late to class?

To maintain official AHA®course standards and respect everyone's time, I enforce a strict 15-minute maximum late arrival window for full in-person classroom courses. For my rapid 30-minute Blended physical skills checks, because the time window is so compact, the maximum late arrival window is 5 minutes. Arrivals past these limits will need to be rescheduled.

What if I just want to re-certify—isn't the class shorter for that?

The AHA no longer offers a separate, shortened "recertification" class length. Because science updates regularly, initial students and renewing students complete the same comprehensive, high-quality course or convenient 30-minute Blended physical skills check to ensure complete readiness.

Is there a test? What if I fail?

The BLS course includes an open-book, multiple-choice written 25 question test (minimum passing score: 84%). Don't stress! If you don't pass on your first try, I will remediate and coach you through it right then and there at no extra cost.

For blended learning, what happens if I don't pass the 30-minute physical skills check?

Don't worry! My goal is to build your real-world confidence, not to stress you out. If you miss a step or struggle with a specific technique during your 30-minute skills check, I will coach and remediate you right then and there. If we run out of time during your block to get it perfect, you can book a one-time, complimentary 15-minute follow-up session to complete your certification at no additional charge.

When will I get my certification card?

I process and submit your successful course completion documentation to the American Heart Association® processing portal.the day you complete your class. Once submitted, digital eCard processing typically takes 24 to 48 business hours. You will receive an official email directly from the American Heart Association® to claim your card, ensuring you can print or download it immediately to meet your workplace or licensing compliance deadlines.
